Settled planets are those planets which are not in conjunction or combination with an enemy planet and there is no enemy planet placed in their fixed houses or signs. These planets are very strong and auspicious.

For example Moon, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and Ketu are settled planets in the birth-chart. If Moon is placed in its own sign and in the fixed house and if it is free from any conjunction or combination with a malefic planet, then Moon will be one of the settled planets.

Mercury is also a settled planet. Its auspiciousness will be doubled because Mercury is placed with Ketu in their fixed house. Its the same situation with Jupiter, because the twelfth house is the fixed house of Jupiter and Rahu and they both are present in this house. Venus is also considered as a settled planet because it fulfills all the conditions of a settled planet in the birth chart.

Therefore, these planets will give good results whether they are malefic or benefic.
